The onslaught of Typhoon ‘Lando’ which devastated some parts of Central Luzon on October 19 affected some UCPB GEN employees in the mentioned area.

This urged the Head Office to extend its helping hand to the affected workers in Cabanatuan and Dagupan Branches last October 21 and 27, respectively.

Leading the project, UCPB GEN Disaster Response Emergency Action Management (DREAM) Team and Employee Relations Committee 2015 visited the two branches to distribute the relief goods which included food, medicines, drinking water, and personal hygiene items.

Four affected employees and their respective families benefited from the said outreach program.

Michelle Satorre of San Jose City in Nueva Ecija experienced a knee-deep flood while Sweet Melody Almayda and Joel Puno, both from Cabanatuan City, suffered waist-deep.

Meanwhile, Lilybeth Asuncion of Dagupan Branch, went through a knee to waist-level flood in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

They were very thankful for the assistance and support given by the UCPB GEN family.

As of today, these employees have recovered from the damages caused by the typhoon.
