UCPB GEN celebrates 47th Anniversary, launches new tagline
UCPB General Insurance Co., Inc. celebrated its 47th anniversary last January 29, 2010 at the ACCM Auditorium in Makati City. The event brought together the company's top executives and employees to a warm and simple thanksgiving festivity.
Mr. Isabelo P. Africa delivered the Annual President's Report. He presented the results of the company's operations for the year 2009 and mentioned that in spite of the major typhoons that brought unfavorable results, there is still reason to be optimistic as UCPB GEN continuously remains strong and firm.
Mr. Africa likewise reminded everyone of the company's vision citing these major points: leadership, innovative solutions, professional expertise and superior services.
The launching of UCPB GEN's new tagline “Everyday Starts with You” was another highlight of the event. Everyday Starts with You motif was in the air as the venue was dressed up with buntings and balloons. Pins were also distributed to all employees.
Mr. Africa together with Chairman Julita S. Manahan, Managing Director Atty. Fred Tumacder Jr. and Senior Vice President Mr. Butch Rosario unveiled the five feet icon of the tagline. The tagline embodies the company’s thrust for service excellence and reminds each and every member of the UCPB GEN family that everyday at UCPB GEN starts with the customer at the top of their minds.
GEM (Going the Extra Mile) employees who rendered exemplary services to customers were recognized.
From 64 nominees, 3 emerged winners and were handed out with trophies. These were: Norwen Amancio of Information Technology, Arlene Anastacio of Customer Service and Doneth Almario of Marketing.
The last part of the program was the traditional ceremony for the Service Awardees. These year's service awardees were: Leila, Marie J. Hao, Edgardo D. Rosario, Rosalinda A. Batallones, Arlene L. Anastacio, Rito P. Macutay, Ma. Theresa L. Gutierrez, Shella Pablita O. Ygnacio, Arnold C. Alvarez, Reonald D. Cajayon, Melissa S. Masacupan, Robert B. Aquilo Jr., Guillerma A. Flores, Gary O. Bongat, Emelita G. Wakay, Gladys B. Abuan, Mauro P. Torreda Jr., Veronica S. Wage, Madonna S. Sigua, and Liznor G. Arce.
Surprise dance and song numbers, special raffle, and lively music from singing couple Jun & Ella Vitan entertained everyone throughout the evening.
