UCPB GEN launched the International Travel Protect, an insurance package that provides cashless settlement of claims and unlimited travel services, last June 24, 2009 at Magnet Cafe, Bonifacio High Street.
Despite of the unpredictable weather conditions, the invited agents from Metro Manila and Luzon branches and brokers' representatives managed to arrive on time at the venue for the one and a half hour event. UCPB GEN Officers warmly welcomed the guests and joined them in a hearty cocktail.
Ms. Tin Abella of Corplan led the opening prayer. Ms. Precy Manaig, Motor and Casualty Underwriter, acknowledged all the guests present and delivered the opening remarks.
Mr. Richie Loberiza, Regional Head for Luzon Operations, presented the features of the International Travel Protect.
Citing figures on the vast number of international travelers and travel agencies operating in the country, he explained that these could be the potential market for this attractive travel insurance package. He also emphasized the product's advantages over the existing packages in the market and discussed the benefits, coverage and limits.
During the open forum, Ms. Manaig readily answered the questions raised by the guests. Mr. Tirso Abad, representative from Iberro Assistencia (the Travel Assistance Services provider) also assisted in clarifying some items.
Mr. Joel Belardo, Property Underwriter and Head of Brokers Servicing, announced the winners of the raffle draw and delivered the closing remarks. Ms. Juliet Custodio of Ramah Insurance was drawn as the lucky winner of a Day at The Farm Gift Certificate.
Mr. Jun Barican of Brokers Servicing anchored the short program. Corporate Planning Department was the overall in-charge of the activity.
It was generally a successful event and guests were happy to leave the venue with a souvenir in exchange for their completed evaluation form.
