UCPB GEN Marks Another First

UCPB GEN is proud for being the first company in the Philippine non-life industry to be certified to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard.

The ISO 9001:2000 is the advanced version of the ISO 9002 model. It belongs to the ISO 9000 family, the most widely known and successful international quality assurance award, issued by the world's largest developer of standards known as International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The ISO 9000 is an indicator of a company's passion for excellence and signifies zeal to achieve utmost quality in all areas of the business to ultimately create and bring forth value to the customers. Borne out of its intense desire and commitment to provide the insuring public with the best in insurance services, UCPB GEN makes every effort to align its mission and vision to ISO philosophy, notwithstanding the rigorous requirements fixed to it.

For such, UCPB GEN has earned the distinctive and much-yearned ISO quality seal. In 1998, it was among a few companies approved to the ISO 9002 level of quality and service. Every year since then, the Company has performed internal audits and taken on external audits to ensure that its systems and procedures were operating consistently to ISO 9002 standards.

Today, UCPB GEN is the first among 103 non-life insurance companies in the archipelago to bear the quality seal founded on the advanced version called the ISO 9001: 2000. With this seal stamped in its name, the insuring public is assured of first-rate insurance packages at reasonable prices plus customer service level that cannot be found anywhere else.
